US Fish and Wildlife Service – Marine Turtle Conservation Fund

The main objectives for this project are:

1. Strengthen local capacity building and training in conservation activities.
2. To support the local community for sustainable socio-economic development.
3. To protect nesting females and loggerhead turtle nests on the most important beaches of Cape Verde (included in the TNR and NNP Protected Areas).

2. Awareness raising, environmental education and mainstreaming activities.
3. Community development.
4. Promoting national/international networks, partnerships and collaborations.
