EMPOWERING OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND REINFORCEMENT OF THE INFRASTRUCTURES FOR THE CONSERVATION OF BIODIVERSITY IN PROTECTED AREAS OF THE ISLAND OF BOA VISTA.

The main objective of this project is to increase the number of local staff hired and their training on biodiversity protection, reinforcing the knowledge on sea turtles and diversifying and improving the monitoring programmes for other species (land birds, reptiles and flora) within the protected areas of the Reserva Natural das Tartarugas and Parque Natural do Norte.

COMMUNITY-BASED BIODIVERSITY ASSESSMENT AND CONTINUED PROTECTION OF AN ENDANGERED POPULATION OF NESTING SEA TURTLES IN TWO PROTECTED AREAS

In collaboration with the other NGO’s on the island the aim is to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in Boa Vista/Cabo Verde through species recovery, increased knowledge and awareness and participation of local communities.
